"We had our resident drum master give it a try and while it did take him about four tries he did manage to complete the song with one pedal. He only hit 92% of the notes but he did complete it.

We see no issue if it can be completed."

I really don't know what to say back to that. I also noticed that it doesn't appear to affect Training Mode. Can anyone else confirm?

Well I like Neversoft to make note-for-note expert drum track of the Children Of Bodom song in GH mix.

If their resident "Drum Master" can pass the real song on expert with the glitch then he should get an easy FC of the GH tunes counter part that is exactly the same.

Since when does a "Drum Master" fail the first 3 or 4 attempts and then only hits 92% of their notes? And do they really believe that being able to pass/complete a song is the proper place to set the bar for Release Status quality? Good lord!... How does their QA Director sleep at night!?

I've only been playing GH drums since January, and I'm on Expert+ mode already. Yet I would at best label myself 'competant'. Surely a person whose job it is to test these games should be able to muster a slightly better score than 92% on the fourth try.

Personally, I'm not convinced that - if the problem is as some of us think: the game grading you by the Expert+ note chart, while only displaying the Expert note chart when you select Expert drum mode - 92% wouldn't be feasible in spite of the game fault.

I submitted my own message to the message center asking about this problem with drums. It took less then 12 hours to get my response.

Response (Patrick Lisicki) - 09/25/2009 03:13 AM
Hello and thank you for contacting Activision Customer Support

We are still looking into the issue here but we have tested it and our people have managed to complete the songs with a single pedal on that game mode so we are not sure at this time if any corrections need to be made.

Please keep your eyes on the message boards at www.guitarhero.com for the most up to date information on this issue.

Thank you.

Either these people are lying about testing the problem for themselves, or they somehow have a code of the game that isn't broken while the rest of us do.

"managed to complete" is a very vague term. The guy I got to test Children of Bodom only managed 92% on the 4th attempt. They seem to be insisting that just being able to finish the songs means there isn't a fault. He could have been using star power to get through the double-bass sections of the song.

I first noticed the problem on Senses Fail - "The Martyr", there aren't many sections which use double-bass, but playing Expert, I'd lose my streak everytime one came along.

I wanna see an FC on Expert drums for a song which has an Expert+ option.

I won't buy anything related to metal anymore on GH with this glith, it's hardly playable.

The metal songs was so fun with all the other GH games, with this one, i'm so disappointed with expert ("made easier") fast double-pedal gameplay in GH5...

I'll be sure to test ALL the future GH games before buying them now :(

Sure a professional drum tester made 92% after some trys LOL, expert charts should be done first read and 95%+ by these pro; 92% is disappointing, proof that the window time is broken :o

I want to see a video of Neversoft's drum master passing the part "Breakdown" on Metallica's Suicide & Redemption without starpower. On standard Expert, of course, not Expert Plus.

If he can do that, I will never talk again about this issue. But I'm 100% sure he can't.

This is getting really annoying. The lack of an official response makes me wonder if they even plan on fixing it.

Indeed. How can they not realize this is an issue with the game?

How can we convince them, what do we have to do ??
