GHTunes Showcase: GHDevChad and his sweet music
* Name & job here at Neversoft:
My name is GHDevChad, and I’m a note-tracker here at Neversoft.
* What is your song's title and does it mean anything?
I’ve put 2 original songs up for this game’s showcase. The first is called VillageOfDarkness, and the second is called MRD.
* How long did it take you to create your GHTunes track?
Each track takes me on average 1 day to write initially, and another day to tweak and perfect the game-play to my satisfaction.
* Why is GHTunes such a unique feature in the game to you?
It’s such a great way to discover new musical tricks. I guess I should explain what I mean by this. When I write music, most of the time I only have the luxury of using one instrument. If I want to write music for a full band, it requires me to be with a few other talented musicians, or I might need to have some very expensive computer software. Using GHTunes, I can experiment with chord progressions, Guitar/Bass harmonies, and unique rhythms and see if I can procure a great song from it.
* What is your favorite songs to play in GH?
So many to name. Six, Hangar 18, Raining Blood, Cliffs of Dover, pretty much all of GH:Metallica, and most of GH:Smash Hits.
* What is your favorite type of music to play/listen to?
To be honest, I tend to like metal and all its sub-genres the most, but really I’m open to pretty much anything that can invoke some emotion in me.
* How many tracks have you created for GHTunes?
Let’s see… “Lieing Rebel Shor” was showcased for Guitar Hero World Tour. GH:Metallica had two of my songs on disc, Desimate and Stealing Life. And now 2 more for GH5! That’s 5.
* Are you in a band? What's your bands name? What kind of music do they play? (your Guitar Hero band doesn't count!)
Actually, Lieing Rebel Shor and Stealing Life were both adaptations of songs from my real band. Although I’m not actually part of it anymore, they still play the songs. The band’s name is Cynica. Pretty much your typical rock band I would say.
