GHTunes Showcase: GHDevJordanS has music and rhythm
* Name & job here at Neversoft:
My name in Jordan Sapp (GHDevJordanS) and I am a Guitar/Bass Notetracker here at Neversoft.
* What is your song's title and does it mean anything?
I called my song “Dotted Jam”. It’s based on the dotted eighth delay pattern in the guitar hook.
* How long did it take you to create your GHTunes track?
It took me about 6 hours total to create the song from start to finish. This includes writing the song and creating each part for every instrument.
* Why is GHTunes such a unique feature in the game to you?
There’s nothing like creating something from the ground up. I love watching a song come together from nothing and seeing it take shape. It’s a passion of mine. The fact that Guitar Hero provides an outlet, and an expansive one at that, for creating original material is a great thing. Playing your favorite songs in Guitar Hero is a ton of fun, but if we can also encourage people to create their own music and share it with the world, we’re doing something right.
* What is your favorite songs to play in GH?
As a Notetracker, I sort of naturally become fond of the songs I track for the game. I try to lay out note charts that are the most possible fun to me, so I’m obviously going to enjoy them a little more than others once they are finished. Some of my favorite songs to play in Guitar Hero 5 are “2 Minutes to Midnight”, “Do You Feel Like We Do”, and “Bleed American”, all of which I tracked.
* What is your favorite type of music to play/listen to?
As a guitar player, I love to play rock and blues mainly. However, I’m also really inspired by different sounds, tones, and effects and I love to be as creative as possible in any musical situation. Some of my favorite bands/artists are U2, John Mayer, AC/DC, and Johnny Lang.
* Are you in a band? What's your bands name? What kind of music do they play? (your Guitar Hero band doesn't count!)
I am not currently in a band, but I am working on an album of original tunes that I will produce and it should be available by January. The style of the songs ranges from rock and blues, to pop and funk. I’d like to form a band around this project and play around the L.A. area, but we’ll see how it turns out.
