GHTunes Showcase: Rockin' tracks created for Band Hero by GHDevJordanS
* Name & job here at Neversoft:
My name is Jordan Sapp (GHDevJordanS) and I am a MIDI Designer here at Neversoft. I get to design the note layouts for guitar and bass.
* What is your song's title and does it mean anything?
My song is called “Miami Beat” and is lighthearted take on some of the more popular hip-hop and rap out right now. I was aiming for a 16th groove, Miami-style beat and tried to turn that into a fun track for Band Hero that people could freestyle or write their own rhymes over.
* How long did it take you to create your GHTunes track?
It took me about 3 hours to write and track the song and about another 2 hours for the artwork. I’m actually just as proud of the artwork as I am the actual song.
* You've made songs for GHTunes before. Was the experience any different this time?
I think making a song for with Band Hero in mind really allowed me to focus in on a certain style. I wanted something synth-driven and pop in nature with less emphasis on rock and metal. It was fun to try and make something is just listenable. If it’s fun to listen to, naturally it’s fun to play.
* What is your favorite songs to play in Band Hero?
“Picture to Burn” by Taylor Swift is one of my favorites because of the banjo part in the verses. It’s really fun. I also like “The Adventure” by AVA, “Ocean Avenue” by Yellowcard, and “Every Rose Has It’s Thorn” is fun too. The game is full of songs that are just fun to play.
