The Guitar Hero® Community Forums are where you can discuss anything and everything Guitar Hero® related! Drop in and discuss a specific Guitar Hero® title, hit up the Tournaments Forum and find out about the latest Online Tournament competition, visit the Contest Forum and find out how you can win some great Guitar Hero® prizes, post in the Off-Topic Forum to take a quick break from the action, or visit the Community Support Forum if you have questions that need to be answered.

How do I create a new topic?
To create a new topic, navigate to the forum you would like to create the topic in, and simply select the “New Topic” link at the top of the thread listing. From here you can give your thread a title and make a body. Please make sure your topic is appropriate for the forum you are posting in (No Off-Topic threads in the Guitar Hero® World Tour Forum!) Use the icons in the toolbar above the text field to alter your text, insert smilies, preview your post, insert/remove hyperlinks, insert images, or view and edit the HTML of your post. Please note that some forums restrict the creation of a new topic to Community Managers only (News & Announcements and Contests). In this case, regular community members will not be able to create a new topic within the Forum.

How do I create a new post/reply?
To create a new post, navigate to the thread you would like to post/reply in and click the “Reply” link directly below the thread’s title. This will bring you to a new open text field where you can create and post your reply (You could also physically scroll down to the bottom of a thread to get to this open text field). Use the icons in the toolbar above the text field to alter your text, insert smilies, preview your post, insert/remove hyperlinks, insert images, or view and edit the HTML of your post

How do I edit a thread/post that I’ve created?
You may edit your threads/posts that you have created at any time. Simply find your thread/post and select the “Edit Post” link underneath your avatar. From here it is just like creating a new post with your original post text already filled in. Click the “Save” button when you are finished making your edits, and your new updated post will now be visible to the entire community. To edit the title of a thread you have created, navigate to the thread, and click the “edit” link directly below the thread’s title. Make your changes, and click the Save Changes button.

How do I post a picture in my post?
To insert a photo into your post, simply click on the tree image icon in the text field tool bar. This will bring up your insert photo options. Insert the photo’s URL, i.e. “www.photobucket.com/photo/12345” give the photo a description in the description field, and then click “Insert” and the picture will be displayed in the text field for you.

How do I insert a link in my post?
Insert the text/image that you want to attach a hyperlink to. Highlight the text/images by left clicking and dragging your mouse over the text/image. The chain icon within the text field tool bar will light up (meaning you can no attach a hyperlink to whatever you have selected), click on the chain icon and a new window will open up. Insert the link’s URL into the Link URL field. Give the link a title, and click insert. The link is now visible in your post and will now direct the person clicking on it to its specified address.

How do I make a sticky/locked thread?
Community Members do not have the ability to sticky/lock a thread. Only Guitar Hero® Community Managers have this ability.

How do I delete a thread or post I’ve created?
To delete a thread that you have created, simply navigate to the thread you want to delete and click the “delete” link located directly below the thread’s title. You will be asked if you want to delete the thread forever, and if that answer is yes, select the OK button.
To delete a post/reply you have created, simple navigate to the post/replay you wish to delete. Scroll to the post and click the “edit post” link below your name and avatar. The text field of your post/reply will appear, simply click the “delete” link above the text field, click ok when prompted, and the post will be deleted.

How can I watch a particular thread?
Navigate to the thread that you want to watch, and click on the “watch” link that is located below the title of the thread. This will make the posts that you have label as “watched” appear in your monitored posts section. To see your monitored posts, simply navigate to the forum index and select the “monitored posts” link at the top of the listing of forum topics. You can un-watch a thread at any time by navigating to the desired thread and selecting the “un-watch” link below the thread title.

Can I search the Community Forums?
Yes you can. To search the community forums, navigate to the main forums page, and click the Advanced Search button at the top of the forums. This will open up a set of options for you to use in searching the forums. You can search post/threads by Username, Keywords, and you can even set a specific time range to search by. When all of options are set to your liking, click the Search button, and view your results.
*The Community Forum Search Functionality has been removed from the website in order to facilitate an upcoming website maintenance period. We'll let the community know as soon as it returns!

Are there any forum guidelines that I must follow while using the Community Forums?
There certainly are, and the Guitar Hero® Community Management Team will do its best to ensure that every community member follows these guidelines, so that everyone can experience a fun/appropriate community environment. To understand the Guitar Hero® Community Forum guidelines, please read our TERMS OF SERVICE (which you agreed to when signing up for the website), specifically section 5: Bulletin Boards/Postings.
The Guitar Hero® Community Management team will enforce these guidelines on a regular basis, and will follow a “Three Strikes and You’re Out” policy. Committing an action that is in direct violation of the Terms of Service three or more times will earn you a ban from the Community Website. Certain violations (posting porn, making racially insensitive comments, etc.) can earn you an outright ban with no warnings needed.
Lets all work together to follow the Terms of Service, in order to have a great time on the Forums!

How do I report a user who is in direct violation of the Terms of Service/Forum Guidelines?
If you see a post or comment on the community forums that you feel is inappropriate or goes against the Terms of Service/Forum Guidelines, please report the user to a Guitar Hero® Community Manager. When contacting a Guitar Hero® Community Manager, please provide a description of the offensive material(s) and also include a link to the thread/post.
